

Vicky Lynn Hayes, 71, of Puyallup, went home to be with her Lord on March 1, 2014. She was born to Paul James and Evelyn Faye O’Bryant on February 21, 1943 in Tacoma, WA. After graduating from Lincoln High School in 1961, she began her career as a hair stylist and then as a caregiver for Catholic Community Services before retiring in 2010. Besides spending time with her family, Vicky Lynn loved writing poetry and playing her clarinet with her church orchestra and the Puyallup Community Band. She’s survived by her husband Leo Hayes; daughters Paulla Hockaday, Krista Jordan; grandchildren Eric, Justin, Ashley, Garrett, Jimmy, Alexis; stepson Tom Hayes of Nashville and granddaughter Alexis Hayes; sisters Patty Watkinson, Cindy Jamison, Terry Dosser; several nieces, nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents. A celebration of her life is planned for Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at 2:00 PM at the Puyallup Church of the Nazarene. Vicky Lynn touched all of us with her huge heart. She was kind, caring, compassionate, and had an incredible sense of humor that will be missed by all.
