Bindesraie “Lilly” Mohabir-Mattow passed away on September 25, 2026, at the age of 92. A devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, relative and friend. Lilly touched generations with her love and brought joy to those around her.
Born in Bel-Air Village, Georgetown, Guyana, Lilly grew up with her brother, Dalchand, and her sisters, Pinky and Rosie, who preceded her in death. She was the mother of Teddy, the late Harry aka “Jack,” Meena, Owadh, Chandra, Sunita, Jai, and Raj Mohabir. She will be dearly missed by her family and many friends.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. at R. Stutzmann & Son, 224-39 Jamaica Avenue, Queens Village, NY 11428. A funeral service will be held there on Thursday, October 1, 2026, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Cremation will follow at 1:00 p.m. at All Souls Crematory at St. Michael’s Cemetery, 72-02 Astoria Boulevard South, East Elmhurst, NY 11370.
