Hernst Clemenceau Pierre-Antoine was born in Cap-Haitien on August 4, 1949. He is the 6th child of Philomene Anna-Louise Santana and her husband Apollon Pierre-Antoine. We bless those beings who gave birth to him. The values they placed in him will inspire all the actions of his earthly life. He lived in the company of his many brothers and sisters. He began his primary studies in Cap-Haitien and completed them at the Lycée Toussaint Louverture in Port-au-Prince. At this establishment, he completed his high school studies with flying colors, skipping a class and keeping an average of over 9/10 while joining the students of his new class.
At the Faculty of Sciences of the State University of Haiti, he completed the Civil Engineering program then that of the University of Rheinisch-Westfaelische-Technische-Hochshule, Aachen (Germany), where he specialized in Geotechnics, Bridges and Roadways.
At the end of his studies, he emigrated to the USA to marry Gerarde Canal, his unconditional wife for 30 years. Their bond of friendship and love date back to 1972.
Faithful to his Christian commitment since his birth, he entered the Diaconate program and was ordained Deacon on May 17, 2007. He thus proved that the true love of God is to Act, not just to Feel. It is leaving a lasting legacy, once he is gone. In this sense, he provided his services to the Incarnation Church of Queens, NY, from 2007 until he fell ill.
He was a man of great faith, a model of courage and wisdom, a Christian who knew, throughout his journey on earth, to bear witness to his fidelity to God, to show goodness, solidarity and love to which he obeyed in his words and in his actions.
For about 10 months, he battled with the terrible disease of pancreatic cancer which he succumbed to, ending his earthly pilgrimage on October 29, 2021.
It is to Mother Mary that we entrust this zealous servant of God, because like her, he was faithful to God and attentive to all.
He leaves in affliction: his wife Gerarde, his daughter Christina, his grandson Preston and his son-in-law Andre Gordon; his sisters and brothers, Jean-Claude, Rose-Marie, Micheline, Renaud, Yolande, Jean-Baptiste, Marie Gisele, Elsie, Paul and Carole; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; his many nieces and nephews, cousins; his godchildren.
His comrades from the 1970-1974 class of the Faculty of Sciences of Haiti and those of the Faculty of Engineering of Aachen (Germany).
The priests, deacons and faithful of the Incarnation Church of Queens, NY.
His many friends in Haiti and abroad.
His work colleagues and collaborators from construction sites in JFK and LaGuardia airports and in Manhattan.
We give thanks to God for all that he has done and all that he has been.
We will always remember him fondly.
