Dolores J. Malone, 90, passed away on September 27, 2026. She was born on May 8, 1936, in Staten Island, New York, to Alfred and Bessie Vassallo. In 1968, she married Thomas J. Malone Sr., and together they raised three children.
Dolores lived a full and active life. She loved to bake, was an avid bowler, and treasured the time she spent with her friends, a loyal companion who would do anything for the people she cared about. As a mother, she loved her family fiercely, and she was deeply involved in the lives of her nieces and nephews. To some she was Aunt Laurie, to others simply Dolores, and she left a lasting impact on everyone she met.
She is survived by her children, Patricia "PJ" (Russell) Pamulo, Maureen Avione, and Thomas Malone; her six grandchildren, Jacqulyn (Patrick), TJ, Natalie, Michael, Grace, and Emma; her two great-grandchildren, Gabriel and Callum; and many loving nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents and by her siblings, Mela, Angela, and Robert.
Visitation will be held at R. Stutzmann & Son, 224-39 Jamaica Ave, Queens Village, NY 11428, US, on October 1, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm, and again from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
A Funeral Mass will be held at American Martyrs' Roman Catholic Church, 79-43 Bell Blvd, Oakland Gardens, NY 11364, US, on October 2, 2026, from 10:30 am to 11:30 am.
Burial will take place at Calverton National Cemetery, 210 Princeton Blvd, Calverton, NY 11933, US, on October 2, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 1:30 pm.
