Dulcie was a radiant soul whose life was a testament to compassion, faith, and resilience. Born in the vibrant city of Montego Bay, Jamaica, she carried the warmth and generosity of her homeland wherever she went. Her heart was always open—to family, to friends, and to strangers in need. Over the years, Dulcie became a quiet pillar of strength in her community, offering shelter, comfort, and unwavering support to those who needed it most.
She was the proud mother of five children: Dwight (who sadly preceded her in death earlier this year), Denise, Phillip, Brandon, and Brett. Her love for her children was fierce and unconditional, and that same love extended to her cherished grandchildren—McKenzie, Madison, and Michael—who brought her immense joy and laughter.
Dulcie’s faith was the cornerstone of her life. A devoted Catholic for over 50 years, she never missed her daily devotion. Even when she couldn’t attend church in person, she faithfully watched Mass on television, always beginning her mornings with scripture and a warm cup of coffee. Her favorite saying, “Anything is possible through God. He can move mountains. Trust in Him as He knows best,” was more than a phrase—it was the way she lived.
She had a spirited mind and a passion for politics, engaging in lively discussions every day with anyone willing to join. Her love of sweets was legendary—chocolate, pastries, and especially Devon House ice cream, which she enjoyed daily whenever she visited Montego Bay. These small pleasures brought her delight and were part of the vibrant tapestry of her life.
Dulcie’s legacy is one of kindness, conviction, and deep love. She leaves behind a family who adored her, a community she uplifted, and a faith that carried her through every season of life. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
