Elston Jolyon Arjune

It is with extreme sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Elston Jolyon Arjune. Elston passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 3, 2022 at St. Francis Hospital in Long Island, NY due to a heart condition. Elston is survived by his parents, Mr and Mrs. David and Sheila Arjune; sisters, Mrs. Trudy (Arjune) Latabadierre and Mrs. Holly (Arjune) Sawyer; brothers, Mr. Dwayne Arjune and Mr. Troy Arjune, along with their spouses and children, relatives and friends.

Elston was born on June 15, 1966 in Georgetown, Guyana, South America. Elston was the eldest son and one of five children born to David Arjune and Sheila (Banarsee) Arjune. Elston attended Queens borough Community College and Majored in Computer Science, and also attended Bishop High School in Guyana, South America. Elston immigrated to the United States in 1986 to join his family in Queens, NY. From that point on, Elston was last employed at RENU Contracting & Restoration in Copiague, New York and also worked in the past at various companies in Long Island before his passing . He was also a problem-solver who often took on difficult and unwanted projects at work and around the house, and was well received by his co-workers, friends and family. Elston also had a close bond with his parents being their first born child, his actions were always kind toward them, and he also made sure they were well taken care of. Elston loved to cook, garden work, take road trips and cheer on the NY Jets. He was a ray of sunshine to all he interacted with, from family members to co-workers to strangers he would meet in passing. Anyone that knew Elston was touched by his kindness, humor and mild temperament. He would give and do anything for others no matter the trials and tribulations of doing so. A rare gem among us, we will miss our dearly beloved son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. We take comfort in knowing that Elston is now at peace with the Lord.

Visitation for Elston will be held Friday, April 15, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at R. Stutzmann & Son, 224 - 39 Jamaica Ave, Queens Village, NY 11428.

A funeral service will occur Saturday, April 16, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM, 224 - 39 Jamaica Ave, Queens Village, NY 11428. A committal service will occur Saturday, April 16, 2022 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at Pinelawn Memorial Park, 2030 Wellwood Avenue, Farmingdale, NY 11735.
