Frances Hansen

Frances Hansen, age 80, passed away peacefully at home in Stewart Manor on January 7, 2021. She was born July 23, 1940 in Jamaica, New York to Mary Josephine and Claude Mounce.

A beloved woman, Frances was a mother of three children, grandmother of nine grandchildren and aunt to several nieces and nephews. Following her graduation from nursing school, Frances worked for over 50 years as a floor nurse at various hospitals in Queens, New York. She was an avid animal lover whose favorite charities were for animals and who frequently prayed to St. Francis of Assisi on their behalf.

Frances is survived by her two sons and their wives, Matthew and Gilda, Steven and Diane, her daughter Kathleen, as well as by her nine grandchildren and their spouses, Thomas and Stacey, Christopher and Jaclyn, Eric, William, Marcella, Jessica, Steven Jr., James, and Michael. She was predeceased by her parents, her sister Mary and brother Michael.
