Grace R. Wagnell

1923-2013

“For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice

of the archangel and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall

rise first: then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together

with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air. . . . .”

Grace Ruth Wagnell was born December 13, 1923, the daughter of Bernard and Grace Marion Whitehurst of Floral Park. She trusted Christ as Savior at a young age and has served Him faithfully all of her years. On July 7, 2013 Grace was ushered into the presence of her Lord, joining her husband of twenty-five years, Joseph Wagnel, and friends and family who had gone before her.

Grace is survived by her brother Donald Whitehurst of Port Richey, Florida, daughter Jo-Ann Meier of Visalia, California, son Mark Wagnell of Grant’s Pass, Oregon and daughter Dorothy Miller of Marinette, Wisconsin, as well as seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at Living Hope Christian Church (Bellerose Baptist Church), 240-20 Braddock Avenue, Bellerose, NY 11428, where she has been a member for many years. It will be held on Monday, July 15 at 7:30 pm.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday morning July 16 at 10:30 am at Pinelawn Memorial Park.
