Herbert Paul, affectionately known as “Peter”, was born in Port au Prince, Haiti to his loving parents Josephine and Andre Paul on December 19, 1952. He was raised in Haiti until he migrated to America in 1980. Peter found joy in food, music, dancing, joking, laughing, going to church, family togetherness, and just having a grand ol’ time. Above all, you couldn’t tell him anything about his Mercedes-Benz! Peter was a man of many words and had a tendency to give nicknames to those around him. When Peter gave you a nickname, it was sure to stick for years to come. No one could do it like him. Peter was known to all as charismatic, funny, loving, and hospitable. Overall, he was a ball of energy who captured the attention of everyone in the room. Knowing Peter meant you were afforded the opportunity to know pure authentic love.
On March 6, 2022, Peter transitioned to be with his parents and siblings Marie Lourde, Pelagie Paul & Jack Paul. He departed from this world at the young age of 69. His untimely death left his loved ones devastated. He leaves behind several children; His eldest Sabryna Paul, Randy & Herlyne Paul, whom he shared with his wife of 20 years, Edelyne Bruneau, and lastly, baby Grace Paul, whom he shared with his recent wife of 4 years, Josette Paul. He also lovingly played the role of Father to Josette’s son, Jonathan. All of which he loved and adored immensely. He was a loving grandfather to Yvanna Carma Paul LaChance, Washid Zenchir Paul Dorsainvil, Terryn Josiah Paul, & Zafryna Xenya Paul. Peter also leaves behind his siblings Azaire Paul (Dina Paul), Marie Jose Paul Laurent (Wilner Laurent). He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews and cousins, whom he loved so much; Winnie, Sherly, Daniel, Loudzer, Azvelyn, Cohancy, Nazaire, Darline, Webster, Thalita, Enock, Josette, Carole, Fenel, Gualaine, Judy and Enock Jr.
While we are happy to know he gained his wings to be with God, along with others who transitioned, we will all miss Peter dearly.
