

Herby is survived by his wife, Rose Salvodon; his children Tracey, Kelvin, Gabriella, & Isabella Salvodon; his sisters Fabien, Fritzard, Marylin, Pascal, & Sandra. He is predeceased by his parents Fritz & Gabrielle Salvodon & his brother Philippe.
Herby was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti on December 16th, 1961 to Fritz & Gabrielle Salvodon. He was a bright student during his youthful years and loved to challenge himself and others around him when it came to learning. He successfully completed high school in Haiti and came over to America with his younger siblings on September 23rd, 1983 at the age of 21. During this time, he successfully obtained many certifications, all of which were grateful accomplishments. On September 19th, 1984 he was awarded for his studies in Electronic Assembly, Wiring, Inspection, & Testing. In 1985 he became a certified Cashier-Checker. In 1987 he married his 1st wife Jocelyn and had his 1st child Tracey. After his divorce he met a remarried with Rose Salvodon in 1991 and in the following year they had their 1st two kids Kelvin & Calvin Salvodon. In 1993 he had his second daughter Gabriella Salvodon, and In 1994 for aiding P.S. 168x he was awarded a certificate for his support. In 1997 he received his diploma for successfully studying TV/VCR repair. Due to this he soon created his own small business TKG electronics. In 2003 while already working with Gotham School Bus he was hired to work with Long Island Bus Group Able-ride & in 2005 was awarded for being the Safest Driver. In 2007 he had his last child Isabella Salvodon. In 2009 he became a Professional Tax Preparer, in 2012 he successfully completed his studies in Professional Heating and Air Conditioning with Honors. Last he received his diploma for his studies as an Electrician.
Herby was a devoted father and husband. He always wanted the best for his wife and kids, for them to achieve greatness. But he cared about their safety as well as any husband or father would. He loved Soccer and watching wrestling. One of his biggest loves was cars. Since he was a child, he loved them and learned everything he could about them. His love of cars was so strong it was shared with his son Kelvin & daughter Isabella. He loved to take things apparent just to see how they worked and bring them back together; it is why he loved repairing electronics devices and cars. Herby was a problem solver and enjoyed the thrill of whatever challenge came across him, never showing any fear but courage. He believed he was capable of doing anything, better than the next person. He enjoyed music like Kompa & Gospel music. His love for music went as far as him playing instruments like the Guitar. This passionate love for music was shared with his all his children. He loved Jesus Christ and was saved twice in his lifetime. He always stressed the importance of prayer and believing as well as studying the word. He was compassionate and wore his heart on his sleeve. He cared about the less fortunate and was helpful to those who asked him for help. He used his talents to help others with minor problems that could have led to bigger issues in their respective home’s. Whether something broke or people had issues within their homes he was there to help mend or fix the issue. He loved all his brother & sisters so much and, his nieces and nephews and spoke highly of them whenever they accomplished something. He especially loved his God son Zachary. His coworkers always shared how much they loved his presence, always appearing at work with a smile on his face. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
A funeral service is scheduled for 8am on May 1st at the R.Stutzman & Son Funeral home. It is to be hosted by Expediter Kim Burnett & Elder Carl Burnett. Flowers, Cards, & Condolences may be offered at 224-39 Jamaica Ave Queens Village, NY 11428.
