It was January 2, 1987. My son was born in the same hospital she worked in. Ms Michel made a point to see me when she read my name on some list. Knew me from always walking past her beautiful home on the way to the corner store. Always smiling asking how are you doing?
When she knew I was leaving the hospital she made it a point to send me home with plenty of diapers as well as formula. I told her it’s too much. She said just go. It’ll be fine. When it got warm enough to push my son in his stroller we made sure to pass by Ms Michel house. We wanted her to see & hold him. She did.
Ms Michel had a loving, generous heart. As does her children.
This is why no matter what was going on in our life we had to make an exception to pay our respect to Ms Michel.
An Angel here on Earth & now in Heaven with her wings.
Condolences to the entire family.

To the Michel Family,
It's been fifty years, twenty-one right next door. Always with open arms your mom welcomed us into your home and table, everyday, any time of day. She would mother us one moment and nurse us back to health another. She is loved and her loving-kindness and generosity will never be forgotten. All our love to you.

To the Michel Family,,
Arnold and I are so very sorry for your loss. Grandma was a special lady and she welcomed our family with warmth and love from our first meeting at her grandson David’s and our daughter Joy’s engagement party. We hold her in our hearts as we hold all of you. Cherish her memory and she will always be with you through the many memories you have shared. Love you all and peace be with you.

Jacqueline was one of the most generous and loving person we have ever known. Jacqueline was always lending a hand and reaching out when we needed her even at our most difficult and painful times. She was a very special woman who always made us feel special and she will forever be in our hearts and will always be with all of us. We have to look back on all the good memories and smile at the fact that we were able to share these good times with her and were part of her life. Our hearts and prayers go out to all of you.

Dear Jacqueline,
You had claimed your space under the sun, you had raised 5 great children, your love 💕 was unconditional. Your father has now reclaimed you; it’s time to rest and rejoin your mother and your buddies up in heaven. My earliest memory upon immigrating to the US is that of you and your children especially ti Roland (aka the king of Broadway) taking me around to get acquainted with the city I was now claiming as my new residence. May our generation and the ones to follow live up to the hard work and the path you laid. Au revoir, Ayibobo 💗
