My grade school classmate. A kind, sweet personality, treasured by everyone whose life she touched.

Beautiful lady.  I always loved to go over and say hi to her after service whenever she was in attendance.  She will be missed.

Jeannie's passing ended her life, but not our relationships.

We will remember her stories of being a 1st generation American in Queens NY, the history of their 1800's house in Woodstock CT, her immense pride in her sister's and mommy's dedication to improving the lives around them, and many detailed stories of
 cats past and present.

Jean Bartelt made a difference with kindness, gratitude, loyalty, and simple joys. She stood up for herself and her people. TY Jean.

Jean's entire life has been a testament to her profound faith and integrity. Her sense of justice and compassion were the driving forces of her life.  Her generosity was beyond measure.  Jean was humble yet bold in her beliefs; tender yet fierce when it came to supporting those she believed were being oppressed; mild-mannered yet unafraid to speak up when others were being put down.  We would all do well as individuals and as a country to follow her example.  I am honored to have known her.

Diana, I am so sorry for your loss.  I will always remember Jean’s sweet smile.  She was always such a supportive encourager!  May your memories bring you comfort.
