Jean-Fritz Stimphil (our father) was many things. He was an adventurer, an explorer, an artist, a lover (some would say too much of one). The man was very smart and could have done many things in his life, he was a jack of all trades. He was a teacher, he was an artist, he learned TV broadcasting, he was an amateur (semi-pro) photographer. He did many things but could have been so much more had circumstances allowed it, had he made some different choices in his life. He could be criticized for many of his choices in life. But those same choices also produced some good fruits. Whatever he may have failed to realize in his lifetime, has been realized through his "many, many children..." Nonetheless, I think he really tried to do right by all of us. I had the opportunity to be with him for the last two years of his life. Unfortunately, I did not have the chance to really enjoy and soak in all of the wisdom and life experiences. But at least we had some good times watching soccer together. He got to see the world cup....I am happy about that, mwen di Messi....I am sorry for all the Messi fans who did not get to see Messi win.... Dad would have liked to see Messi win too... But I digressed. I am thankful that we were able to spend some good times together these past few months. He got to hang out with his grandkids... I know you guys are gonna miss him. He loved you all.

My father was very well liked, he made people feel very comfortable and many people took to his spirit. He made quite an impact in many people's lives in the past 7 to 10 years of his life. He was very well liked by his employers, his comrades and many in the church in Kentucky.

I am sure he will be missed by all...
