OBITUARY
Jerry Diaz
November 29, 1953 – February 14, 2021
Jerry Diaz was born on November 29, 1953 to Rafael and Rosa Diaz. He had three older brothers (Rafael, Ashford and Raymond). They lived in Queens. He was raised to be a hardworking and dedicated man.
Jerry Diaz is survived by his seven children (Brandon, Keytoya, Jerry Jr., Joseph, Jason, Elizabeth, Melissa) and eight grandchildren. He will always be remembered by his dedicated partner, Nancy Rosado and her family.
One of Jerry’s great accomplishments was graduating in 1991 from York College, CUNY with a Bachelors of Science degree in Mathematics. For over 30 years he worked for Con Edison and remained a strong provider for his family. He retired in 2009 where he dedicated his time to family, friends and various hobbies, including playing piano, botany and chess. He remained a staunch advocate for education and learning, teaching us to visit Barnes & Noble and libraries when we wanted to learn something new.
He will always be remembered as someone who would talk to anyone, especially young children who loved his Donald Duck impression. We will always remember his world famous baked ziti, his love for the Mets and Knicks, and how much he loved his kids.
He will always remain in our thoughts and hearts.
