Tio … my Tio Favorito. I know you would say im your Sobrina favorita but Tia Meche confirmed it.  I’ll miss you. I’ll miss you telling me $5 for playing with the dogs. I’ll miss seeing you watch tv with your dogs. I’ll miss calling you my Tio favorito whenever I saw you. You’ll always be my tio favorito. And I’ll take care of my tia favorita and keep her company and play bingo with her.  I love you 💗

I only had the privilege of meeting Mr.  Cribillero a couple of times, yet even in those brief encounters it was evident that he was a man of warmth, dignity, and quiet strength. He welcomed others with genuine kindness and left an impression that spoke volumes about his character. Though my time with him was short, I am grateful to have met him, and I know his legacy will live on through the family and friends whose lives he touched so deeply

To the Medina & Cribillero family,

My heart is with you during this difficult time. Papa Chulito was truly a blessing, always laughing, always sharing his joy, and showing such deep love for his family. Él fue una luz para todos nosotros, siempre lleno de amor y alegría. His warmth touched not only your family, but mine as well, and he will never be forgotten.

I like to believe he is now in a place of peace, still smiling and watching over all of you. Que encuentren fuerza en los recuerdos hermosos y en el amor que él dejó atrás. Those are his greatest gift to all of us.

I only met Johnny once and didn’t know him personally, but I know the impact he left on the world–a wonderful family imbued with strong values of selfless service, integrity, and care for others. Queens and NYC more broadly was lucky to have him in our community for so many years, and his presence will be missed. The legacy Johnny left will last a long time to come.

Señor Johnny,
It was an honor and a pleasure to know you and to have been in your presence. You always made me feel so welcomed in your home. As you would say we are family. You never failed to ask me about my husband everytime I came over as well. 
I will never 4get how proud you were of me when I told you about my latest career choice. 

I hope you know how much your family adored you. You were truly an inspiration. Coming here with nothing and building / accomplishing all that you did for you and your family speaks volumes. 

You will be missed beyond any words could ever describe. I hope you are resting peacefully.

So glad I was able to see you when I did . I truly do feel that you were at peace that evening and it made my heart smile to know that you left this earth exactly how u envisioned and wanted to. You may not be here in the flesh anymore but I am certain that your spirit will forever live on.

Johnny, you will be missed so much. A wonderful father that always kept his family together. A true inspiration and hard worker. Every single time I came into your house you would say “Andreaaaaaa, como estas?” Of course my answer would be “bien gracias, y tu?” Because that’s all I knew how to say back in Spanish and you knew that so we laughed everytime! Your laugh was always so contagious and you always welcomed me and my family with open arms. 

To my Cribillero & Medina family: My deepest condolences to you all. Sending all of our love from Florida to New York and beyond. We love you guys dearly.

Johnny worked really hard to make sure his daughters were happy. Denise being the oldest he made sure she got the best education he could afford. She was his princess I will never forgot when we were 14 and Denise got her first pay check from the library he was so thrilled that he wanted to frame the check, His eyes sparkled with joy. I will always remember Johnny as he introduced me to his love of Kung fu movies and showed love and respect.
