My father passed away and is now with no pain and distress. My father was a loving, selfless, hard working individual that would do anything for his family. He would drop anything to help and would not think twice if you were in trouble. He would help even people he didn’t really know and give them work and share a meal with them while they worked. My father was a very funny and sarcastic person, always messing around with you and being the life of any occasion with his amazing smile and laugh. Sometimes we would have to slow him down lol. He was a person that if knew or saw something was wrong he would ask you in his own way, if you're alright. He would call you at random because he was thinking of you, just to ask “ hey bro you're ok, are you coming over later”. He had such an amazing heart.
As a Husband and the love he had, has and always will have for his wife no one can beat. 49 years of pure love and devotion. If you would ask him or when people ask him how have you been with your wife for so long, he would say some sarcastic remark that would be a true statement of why they are still together as “do everything she wants” but the true reason was he loved my mother more than life itself. She was and is everything for him, his “mama, mommy, his pollito”.
As a father no one can ask for a better teacher, confidant, friend, punching bag, and person to have in their life. We take things for granted while they have it in their lives even when you don’t do it intentionally, but with my father he made sure to enjoy every moment with us. Between the great and incredible moments and the hardest moments he was always there to lean on and give you a hug and say “everything is going to be ok bro!” As his Sons, we only hope we made him proud and continue to live up to how he sees us in his heart and mind.
As a grandfather no one beats him. His goal was always to make his granddaughter laugh and have a good time. From running around at the playground, riding bikes, swimming in the pool, playing Uno and board games or just simply sitting on the couch with them and watching a movie while he falls asleep. Watching him talk to them to give them advice or some guidance was a thing to watch how he would be so soft and direct with them. They would say Jun Jun is crazy! I know he will be guiding them from heaven.
A message from your youngest son Charlie “Charlie Boy”: I couldn’t have asked for a better father. Not only was he funny, caring, and loving, he was the most honest, straightforward person you could ever meet. He showed us how to be great men in this world and not let it run you over, while teaching us that family is everything. The countless life lessons he taught us are priceless. As a husband, father, and grandfather, there is no comparison — he truly was the best. Also, the greatest boss I’ve ever had. I wouldn’t give that up for the world. We had great times and conversations all day, while at the same time showing me how to hustle and provide for my family.Going to miss you, Pa. I can still hear you saying, “Charlie boy, be careful, love you.”
A message from your son Nicky “your negrito” thank you for everything you have taught me and allowing me to be there for you and taking care of you to the last minute. You entrusted me with every decision and your life. I hope I did everything the way you wanted things to be and I will be with you as I promised from the beginning of this to the end. Please know me and Charlie and the family will make sure Mommy is taken care of as we promised you.
Love you papi! You’ll be forever in our hearts.
