When I met Joy at ConEd, the first thing she said to me was about my name... she said she went to school with a classmate whose last name was SKEETE. ...turns out she and my aunt had indeed gone to high school together. She'd tease me about not giving her reason to call my aunt... that was always our joke...😄😄 🇬🇾

Enjoying family celebrations was always a highlight, this one was special.

Aunty, there are so many special moments that I will carry in my heart. One of the more recent memories that keeps showing up is when Chris and I visited and you met Kingston for the first time. You sang songs with him in the morning, watched the birds together and played. He was so excited to come meet you in the mornings. Thank you for your gentle spirit and touch. We will miss your presence greatly.

Auntie Joy, you will be forever missed. I’m forever grateful to have had you in my life. Be at rest now with Auntie Pat and Auntie Jackie. Love you always Yolanda ❤️

To Kevin and Aunty Joy's entire family!  Please accept our deepest condolences!  We have had the honor of being extended family, through the bonds of love and friendship shared for over forty-five years!

Aunty Joy's warm smile and gentle personality have been the same since the day we met.  Being my mother's best sister/friend, meant I gained an immediate aunt.  She just happened to end up being one of my favorite people in the world!

I can speak for my Mom when I say, we are going to miss all the laughs, conversations, smiles, great food and hugs!  We will carry our  cherished memories with Aunty Joy, deep in our hearts.  She will be missed immensely!

We are so proud of the way you took care of Aunty Joy, Kev!  Always know you have family that goes beyond bloodlines!  We love you!
