Leonor Aguilar, lovingly known to family and friends as "Maicy," age 94, of Hollis, New York passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, November 7, 2021. Leonor was born April 5th 1927, in the small town of Guadalupe in San Vicente, El Salvador, to Carlos Henriquez and Carlota Gavidia. She moved to San Salvador and met the love of her life Salvador Aguilar. They later moved to Queens, New York in 1981, to join their daughter and were embraced by a caring extended family and Salvadorian community. She spent many years of her life caring for her grandchildren and even a great grandson. She was predeceased by her husband Salvador, her brothers Amado, Alfredo, Manuel and her sister Martha. She is survived by sister Elba de Mejia, her three daughters Ana Leticia Marchelly, Elizabeth (Oscar) Landaverde and Silvia Lorena (Angel) Quinteros; her seven grand children and eight great-grandchildren.
