Carolina, as everyone knew her, was intelligent, strong, and deeply compassionate. She had a natural curiosity about life and a drive to make it meaningful. In Colombia, she completed her university education in optometry and began her career in eye care.
After moving to the United States, she continued that calling for the past 18 years as an Ophthalmic Technician, building a life centered on helping others see and feel better.
She didn’t just treat patients, she cared for people. Anyone who sat in her chair felt it immediately. She made people feel comfortable, heard, and valued. That was simply who she was.
Carolina led by example. Her work ethic was steady, dependable, and driven, earning the respect, trust, and admiration of those around her.
Outside of work, she brought light wherever she went. She loved music, laughter, and enjoying life. Her presence put people at ease, and her smile will never be forgotten.
More than anything, Carolina was a devoted and loving wife. What we had was real, built on love, respect, and partnership. She was my strength, my peace, and my home.
In the end, Carolina gave the ultimate gift, donating her heart, kidneys, and liver to save the lives of others. Even then, she was giving, just as she always had.
She leaves a space that can never be filled, but her kindness, strength, and love will continue to live on in everyone she touched.
Carolina will be remembered for her compassion, her warmth, her strength, and her beautiful smile. Most of all, she will be remembered for how deeply she loved.
She is deeply missed, forever loved, and will never be forgotten.
From her loving husband:
Carolina, you were my life, my partner, and my greatest blessing. You inspired me every day, and I will carry your love with me for the rest of my life. Thank you for everything you gave me, and for the life we shared.
A part of that blessing was the strong, loving family you brought into my life, something I will always be grateful for.
I love you always. Your heart beats on, mi amor.
Flowers are welcome, and for those who wish, donations may also be made in her memory to the Bright Focus Foundation. This organization supports vision research, especially Glaucoma Research, which honors her passion for learning and advancing eye health.
