Marilyn has always been a very academically gifted student. She graduated from the prestigious private Sacred Heart Academy High School in Hempstead, New York. She thereafter obtained an associate degree in accounting from Nassau Community College, then she transferred to York College for a bachelor’s degree, but did not graduate. Had her dreams not been cut short, she would have eventually gone for a law degree, as her life goal was to become a lawyer.
A gentle and compassionate soul, Marilyn could get feisty at times. This feistiness was not just a personality trait, but it was stirred up by her passion for family life and her profound desire to be a better person. She went on a personal quest to seek God, until, one day, she was led by her uncle Ronald Stimphil, who is a pastor, to receive Christ as her personal Lord and Savior. At that point, she began working on trying to live a life for Christ. However, her constant losses in her spiritual battles led her gradually far from Christ. Despite her life struggles, Marilyn enjoyed being a mother. Naturally intelligent and beautiful, she was an avid puzzle solver who patiently worked on puzzles too complex to flatter the average person’s interest.
Unfortunately, she could not transfer this puzzle-solver ability to the resolution of her life issues, no matter how hard she tried. On Monday, June 1st, 2026, she lost her final battle. On that day, her father, Antenor Francois, received the ominous call that Marilyn had been driven to a hospital by ambulance. He quickly shared the news with those closest to Marilyn. That very evening, her mother Myrlene was ultimately informed by Antenor of the passing of their daughter – the most devastating news for a mother. The entire family quickly rallied around the grieving parents who had to bury their own child. This would be set to occur on Wednesday June 10th, 2026. Our sincere hope is that Marilyn’s faith, openly expressed in the private confession she made to her uncle was met by God’s grace in the last seconds of her earthly life.
