Medissaint Alexandre was born on May 18, 1930 in Marigot, Jacmel, Haiti. He was born to the parents of Evane Alexandre and Mercilia Dantan. He is the second of three children from his mother. He later moved to Port-au-Prince, Haiti at the age of 17, where he started working at Villa Creole in Petion-ville, Haiti. A few years later he met his first wife Simone and they were blessed with their first daughter Carole Alexandre. Years later he separated from Simone and moved to Fontamara, Haiti where he worked at Francois Duvalier International Airport. Later he met Marie Diana Regene at the Royal Haitian Hotel & Casino where he worked as a Captain. They later got married and from this union came 5 children Myrtha, Patricia, Pierre, Vesta and Marie Michelle Alexandre. Medissaint had more children: Vanita, Eli, Charles, Sandra, Ruth, Gladys, and Jean Fortune Alexandre. After successfully raising his children, in 1983 he decided to move to the United States where he worked in Stamford, Connecticut for 30 years. While working for many years he was able to bring his wife and children to the United States to provide them with a better lifestyle. He was a good father. He worked really hard to take care of his family. Everybody who knows him always spoke highly of how humble, polite and sympathetic he was and always offered to lend a helping hand to everyone. Medissaint enjoyed dressing to par and spending quality time with family and friends. Medissaints’ life journey ended on September 28, 2018 where he was called home to his lord and savior. He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, children, grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
