

Pamanraka Outar, born Pamanraka Maraj and affectionately known as Maa, passed away on June 18, 2026, at the age of 90, in Jamaica, New York. She was born on February 19, 1936, in Plantation Hope, East Coast of Demerara, Guyana, to the late Balmakund and Dularie Maraj.
In 1953, Maa married Teloki Outar of Triumph Village, East Coast of Demerara, Guyana. Together, they built a life centered on family, faith, hard work, and love. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Teloki Outar, and her son, Basdeo.
Maa is survived by her children, Prana, Guytrie, Sabtrie, Chand, Gobin, and Indra. She is also lovingly remembered by her daughters-in-law, Gold, Sharda, and Babe; her sons-in-law, Archie, Joey, and David; her grandchildren, Sally, Shivo, Clarie, Christina, Sohie, Krishan, Vanessa, Ryan, Vikasha, Sarah, Glen, and Rudy; her grandchildren’s spouses/partners; many step-grandchildren; and her great-grandchildren, Ausin, Asim, Justin, and Inish, as well as great-great-grandchildren. She is also remembered with love by her many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends. Maa is survived by her sisters-in-law, Sheila and Rita, and was preceded in death by her sister-in-law, Dolly; she is also remembered by her brothers-in-law, Loidy and Lake, and was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Ragnauth and Sugri.
Maa was a devoted homemaker and gardener who dedicated her life to caring for her family. After immigrating to New York, she worked in the textile industry, where she made swatch books for retailers. She was known for her strength, devotion, and deep commitment to her family. A devout Hindu, her faith guided her throughout her life and remained an important part of who she was.
She had a passion for cooking, and her home was the center of many celebrations. Family and friends will remember the warmth of her kitchen, the comfort of her meals, and the way she brought people together. Her home was a place of welcome, tradition, and love.
Maa’s legacy lives on through the generations she nurtured and the family she helped build. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.

Cremation will follow at All Soul's Crematory at St Michael's Cemetery, 72-02 Astoria Blvd, East Elmhurst, New York 11376, on June 27, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 3:30 pm.
