Rafael A. Ramos

In loving memory of Rafael Antonio (Tony) Ramos, born in Brooklyn, NY. Rafael was the first born child for Carmen Ramos and Rafael B. Ramos. Beloved brother to Carlos, Valerie, Margie and David. Devoted father to Ashley Ramos. Rafael was an uncle to his nieces, nephews as well as poppa to his son-in law and his grandchildren Jayla and our beloved Jaxin. He was a father to so many but most of all to his daughter Ashley as he was always there for his nieces and nephews as his own.

Rafael was a man of many things throughout his life. A character most would say; Someone who always spoke his mind, stood out and made a mark with anyone he had met. He can be called a grouch on his bad days but more often the most genuine caring person anyone could meet. There are so many times that even during the pain that he was the most selfless person. Rafael put his daughter first always while always being a pillar of support for his family.

Rafael was a police officer at the 113th precinct, an EMT and a certified bail bondsmen. Rafael enjoyed taking photos, guns, knives, motorcycles, cars, golf and hockey. Growing up he enjoyed playing sports and broke nearly any bone that could be broken over the years. No matter the broken bone. Rafael could not be broken as he had this super strength about him.

No matter what he always looked out for others especially his family as he was just a phone call away. Rafael made sure that his daughter was taken care of always growing up ensured that her education was pursued as his prize possession. Rafael had the strength that anyone would be blessed to have as he persevered through life with the obstacles that he had to overcome.

Its difficult to formulate into words the influence that pops had with his loved ones. To say that pops was anything less than an extraordinary does not do him justice. Rafael will be missed immensely by his family and his daughter will live in his honor and memory.
