Robert was the first born son of Robert and Mary Carroll, Bobby was the oldest of six children. He grew up in Queens Village attending St. Joachim and Anne School and graduating from Richmond Hill High School. He was employed as a bookkeeper at several companies and retired from Mitsubishi Motors in Anaheim, CA. He was a devoted fan of the local sports teams, the NY Mets, Knicks and Islanders. He had an uncanny memory for family history, events, birthdays, occasions in his extended family. In recent years he kept up with family and Queens Village news on Facebook. A devout Catholic, he attended Sunday Mass every week and when unable to attend in person accessed the service on TV. He spent his last several years at the Brandywine Assisted Living, where he asked to use his given name and was called Mr. Robert by the caregivers and staff and was remembered as a quiet, kind and sweet man frequently busy on his computer. Robert is survived by four of his siblings, Joanne, Celeste, Patrice, James, in-laws Charles and Terese. He was predeceased by his parents and brother, Brian. He is also survived by 8 nieces and nephews and 11 grandnieces and grandnephews.
