Robert Heeralall

Robert Heeralall, also affectionately known as Herbie, was born on December 10th, in 1938. He was born in Cornelia Ida, also known as C.I. Guyana. He was the son of the late Sarah and Lachman. When living in Guyana, he was a cane cutter, who then migrated to the United States in 1980 with his wife and kids, where he worked as a janitor until he retired to enjoy his grandchildren.

Robert is survived by his wife Goonwatti Heeralall, more commonly known as Daro, his beloved son Kris and daughter Indira. He was also father-in-law to his precious daughter-in-law Kavita and his son-in-law Stanley. Robert is also survived by his treasured granddaughters Kelsey Heeralall, Kerrie Heeralall, Camille Kidd, and Angela Kidd, as well as his nieces, nephews, other family members, and his friends at church.

With heavy hearts and great sorrow, we announce the passing of a loving man, devout to his family and his religion. Robert was one of the kindest souls you could ever meet, who believed that even the smallest life mattered. Those who knew him knew his kindness, generosity, stories of the past, and devotion to his god. He was always there for you the moment you needed him without hesitation, and always made sure you had what you needed. The little moments with him mattered, and it’s memories like these that leave us to continue to tell his story and continue to celebrate his life. While it pains us to see him leave us, we know he’s in a place where he’s no longer hurting, and that wherever he is, he will watch over and guide us in our future endeavors. We know h lived a life with no regrets. We pray your soul continues its journey, and you find what you are looking for.

Visitation will be held at R. Stutzmann & Son, 224-39 Jamaica Ave, Queens Village, NY 11428, US, on September 7, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm, and the Funeral Service will take place there on September 8, 2026, from 8:00 am to 10:30 am.

Cremation will be at Garden State Crematory, 4101 John F. Kennedy Blvd, North Bergen, New Jersey 07047, on September 8, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 12:30 pm.
