Robert Francis Nealon, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend passed away on Sunday, February 2, 2020. Robert, or Bob to his friends, of which there were many, was an Irish-Catholic gentleman in the purest sense. He was born and raised in Queens Village, NY, to William Joseph Nealon and Mary Ahern. Bob served his country honorably in the United States Army from 1953 to 1956. After leaving the military, Bob went to work for New York Telephone and would continue there for the next 42 years. In 1957 he met and fell in love with Regina Ann Weston. The two were married on September 12, 1959, and would spend the next 60 years together raising a family, making wonderful memories, and sharing all the blessings that God provided. Dedicated to the church, Bob was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish in Queens Village, NY, where he also coached CYO basketball and was a Cub Master for Boy Scout Troop #171. Bob was also an active member of St. Anne's Knights of Columbus, in Glen Oaks, NY, where he served in many offices including Grand Knight, and State Secretary. Bob was an avid golfer and could often be found putting lesser players to shame at Douglaston Golf Course. A diehard NY Mets, Giants and Rangers fan, Bob welcomed the conversation and camaraderie that came with rooting for his favorite teams. He is survived by his loving wife Regina, and his brother Francis and his wife Jane, and his sister-in-law Ann. He is also survived by his children; his son Robert Jr. and his wife Cynthia, daughter Virginia, sons Patrick and his wife Kathleen, Sean and his wife Veronica, Christopher and his wife Anne, Matthew and his wife Kathleen, and his daughter Mary Myles and her husband David. Bob was also the proud grandfather of Jessica and her husband Vincent, Caroline, Elizabeth, Brianna, Timothy, Shannon, Christopher, John, Brian, Sean, Stephen, Anna, Mairead, Mateo, and Caitlin. Prouder still of his three great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Robert, and Aisling. He was dearly loved and he will be forever missed.

I am sad to hear of Uncle Bobs passing. I remember the first wedding that I had ever attended, the music started playing and he asked me to dance. So i stood on his feet as we moved around the dance floor. Its a very fond memory for me and my heart goes out to you. So much love.

So many memories of Bob and Regina but one does stand out and that is whenever there was a cousin getting married they were the first ones up when the Irish music started. Their Irish jig was outstanding.
Our very large family of loving cousins will surely miss him so much. Our love and prayers go to his loving wife and children. Rest in peace cousin Bob😘
