To our beloved Nong Roy,

God has called you home and taken you back into His loving arms. My heart knows that you are finally at peace, but it still hurts so much to accept that I will no longer hear your voice on the other end of the phone.
I will miss our long conversations—those calls where we could talk about anything and everything under the sun. You always wanted to know what was happening here in the Philippines: the politics, the celebrities, the latest happenings, and even the little things that seemed unimportant to anyone else. Somehow, you always made them interesting.

I will especially miss our morning talks, the stories we shared, the teasing, the laughter, and those moments when we could just talk and forget about everything else. Those memories are treasures I will carry in my heart forever.

Nong Roy, how are you up there? I hope you are smiling. I hope you are happy. And most of all, I know there is no more pain. You have earned your rest.
Thank you for everything you have done for us, your siblings here in Cebu. Thank you for your kindness, your generosity, and for always being there in your own way. You were never one to sugarcoat things. You were brutally honest—no icing on the cake, no sweet words just to make someone feel good. You spoke your mind, whether we wanted to hear it or not. And that was you. Honest, straightforward, and real. That is one of the many things I truly admired about you.

You lived a full life. You found happiness with your family, created countless memories, and touched the lives of the people who loved you. And now, although our hearts are broken, we can take comfort in knowing that you are resting peacefully.

I wish I could have one more phone call with you. Just one more chance to hear your voice, to laugh with you, to listen to your stories, and perhaps tell you one more time how much you mean to us.
But since I cannot, I will hold on to every memory.

You will always be missed. Thank you for the talks we had when we went patrolling around the house, (i never told anyone your secret lol😂). I enjoyed all our conversations, thank you for giving me your wisdom and advice in life🙏. Thank you for making me laugh when times were rough. I’m sorry I couldn’t visit you 😢, may you be in peace, and know I will never forget you tito Roy.

Sending my deepest condolences to your family. I will always have fond memories of your dad and will remember him for his kindness, wonderful sense of humor, and warm, welcoming nature. He had a genuine warmth that made everyone feel comfortable and at home. I feel truly grateful to have known him and to have shared those memories. He will be deeply missed. I am sending your family love and strength during this difficult time.

To the kids of Roy. You probably don't remember me and that's ok. I'm Rachelle- Che, Olive and Paulo's cousin from when we were teenagers. Anyway I want to say I'm sorry for your loss. I spoke to your dad a few times when I hanged out at your home in bellerose and he was truly a wonderful man and I am thankful to have met him. He helped me get a job in asiana airlines when I was going to college and because of that I was able to pay for school. He didn't know me but somehow saw I had potential in having a real job with no experience. I was working retail at that time and we carried a conversation at your house and offered me an opportunity to interview. This memory stuck with me for many years and because of this interaction, I am grateful because even though I didn't realize it at that time, I learned a lesson from him and it is perception and understanding. He saw value in people. I will carry this lesson with me because of your father. Stay strong and I am praying for your family. 🙏

Papi Roy,

Thank you for accepting me and allowing me to be part of your life. I will always be grateful for the love, kindness, advice, and beautiful heart you shared with me. You made me feel valued and loved, and those memories will always have a special place in my heart. ❤️
I’m truly sorry that I wasn’t able to fulfill my promise of visiting you in the U.S. I wish I had more time to see you, spend time with you, and create more memories together. But please know that you were always remembered and never forgotten.
