

Frerot fought a valiant fight against lymphatic cancer. He stepped from this world and sped towards the loving arms of his family and friends. He was a debonair 82 years young.
He was the second born and first son of Eugene and Odeide Theard Leon. He and his eight brothers and sisters immigrated to the United States. They thrived and captured their American dream.
As a young man he joined the Haitian Aviation Force and became a pilot. He was known to have a healthy dislike of flying.
His professional life began in Haiti where he worked as an accountant for Shell Oil. He immigrated to the United States and more specifically to New York City; we his children are especially happy he did not go to Chicago or even colder Boston.
He joined Shearson an investment banking firm. Over the course of 25 years with a twinkle in his eyes he might mentioned how he helped Shearson grow to become Shearson, Lehman, Hutton, American Express.
Anyone who met Frerot was easily charmed by him. He was the life of the party. He had a plethora of jokes.
His will be missed by his many “gambling” buddies including Euphinie Leon (Fofo) whom we would like to thank for their frequent visits; at the hospital as well as the rehab center.
Aside from his casino adventures Frerot was an avid "Flea Market” man he spent many weekends buying, bartering and outfoxing his
sister Huguette (Guety) who was his best Flea Market buddy and daily visitor during his hospital stays and long illness.
Frerot is survived by his son Ronald Bernard, daughters Daphne Leon, Desiree Leon and Danielle Leon. His grandchildren, Dominique, Doria, Harold, Ronald Jr, Rodney, Roy, Jonathan, Jordan, and Ronika Jones; his great-grandson Christian; as well as numerous siblings, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
