Doris was born in Canton, China to Fook Cheung and Yuen Lin (Chan) Wong. She immigrated to Boston, Massachusetts when she was 13 and became a Bostonian, though never forgetting her cultural roots. She was a devoted Boston sports fan, enjoyed playing MahJong, liked gardening, and made the best egg rolls. She was thoughtful and cared deeply for her family, and always found a way to help others.
She is survived by her husband, Sik Yiu, her children Teresa and Kathryn (Doug), her grandchildren, Clay and Daphne, her mom, Yuen Lin, her brothers and sister, Stuart (Winnie), Perry (Bonnie) and Stacy and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held from 10:00am -12:00pm on Wednesday, August 7, 2024 at the Deware Funeral Home, 576 Hancock Street, Quincy, Massachusetts 02170. Interment to follow at the Pine Hill Cemetery, 815 Willard Street, Quincy, Massachusetts 02169.
