

Elizabeth A. “Betty” (Bentley) Sullivan, of East Bridgewater, formerly of Houghs Neck, Quincy. Is known for the biggest smile and best hugs that anyone could ever give. She passed away peacefully September 1, 2014, at the age of 71. She was surrounded by her loving daughters, son in law, family, and friends as she soared to heaven with the angels.
She was born and raised in Boston, a graduate of the Lemuel Shattuck Nursing School in Jamaica Plain. She continued there for her first few years of employment as a devoted and caring nurse. Later worked at the Presidential Nursing Home, Quincy MA until her retirement.
She is one of nine siblings and is survived by her cherished daughter Christine Nicholson and her husband David of East Bridgewater, her eternally loving daughter Kerry Sullivan of Whitman, her loyal dog Bear, also five sisters, Louise Baker, Susan Stuart and her husband Larry of Pittsfield ME., Mary Gaeta of Hanover, Eleanor Muise and Patricia. Cerullo of Pembroke, three brothers, Harold Bentley, Jr. of Quincy, Arthur Bentley of FL. and Lawrence Foley and his wife Ann of VA. Former wife of Michael F. Sullivan of Boston. Daughter of the late Odilie (Saint Pierre) Mac Bain and her father Harold Bentley, also survived by many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Betty could be seen early mornings at local ponds and lakes doing what she loved best, fishing. She also enjoyed gardening and making wonderful memories with her daughters, family and friends.
A Celebration of her life will be held at the Deware Funeral Home 576 Hancock St. Quincy MA. On Friday Sept. 12th from 5-8 PM. A Memorial Mass will be held in the Most Blessed Sacrament Church of the Holy Trinity Parish 1000 Sea Street Houghs Neck section of Quincy, on Saturday Sept. 13th at 10 am Relatives and friends are invited.
