Luis was born on January 16, 1962, in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico to Hilda and Armando González. His siblings are Samuel, Wanda, Maribel, Leslie, and Johnny González. He also has many nieces and nephews who adore him.
As a young boy, Luis grew profoundly passionate about the church. He attended, La Primera Iglesia Jesucristo el buen Samaritano on Dudley Street, for 50 years. He always cared about what he was going to wear to church. He would always be excited to play and sing along with the choir. He would play the congas, guitar, timbales, guerlo, and tambourine. He would always come home happy, sharing his story with the family because it made him feel special. He also enjoyed traveling with his church brothers and sisters out of state to visit other churches.
Luis loved to listen to Spanish music, watch The Seinfeld Show, The Three Stooges, cartoons, wrestling, and color or play a game. He was truly a kid at heart. And despite his chronic health condition, he maintained such independence, even traveling anywhere by bus or train. He knew many people and was loved by all; that is how the love shall remain.
