Mary E. Kelly Edson

EDSON, Mary E. (Kelly) in Hingham, formerly of Allentown, N.H. and Quincy. September 11, 2012. At the age of 82. Mary passed away at the Harbor House Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Hingham. Born in Arlington, she was raised in the Wollaston section of Quincy. Mary attended St. Gregory School in Dorchester Lower Mills and was a member of the class of 1948 of North Quincy High School. In 1952 she married Elbridge H. Edson Jr. and moved to Allentown, N.H. where they lived for over 55 years until Elbridge’s death in 2007. Mary then moved to Hingham to be with near her sister’s. She enjoyed being with her family and bowling at Wonder Bowl. Beside her late husband Mary was pre-deceased by three children, Susan, William D. and Robert Edson and a sister Helen Smith. She is survived by a son Keith Edson, two sisters Margaret Fanning of Hingham and Alice Coletta of Braintree, two grandchildren Brian Dauphinie of N.H. and Brian Edson of Holbrook and by several nieces and nephews.
