Mrs Nancy Joan Hood Whitehead

Nancy was a member of the former Wollaston Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star, also a Blue Bird Troop leader, an advisory board member of the Wollaston Assembly, Order of Rainbow for Girls. She also loved to collect teddy bears and having coffee with friends at the Wollaston Dunkin Donuts and was an avid Boston Bruins Fan.

Nancy is survived by her beloved husband Robert W. Whitehead, and was looking forward to their 62nd anniversary next week. She is also survived by her loving children Gail Butler and her husband Edward of New Jersey and Neil Whitehead of Quincy. Nancy was pre-deceased by her twin brother Arthur Alexander Hood (in his infancy) and Susan Hood Woodward. She is also survived by two nephews and a niece.

The family of Nancy Whitehead would like to thank the staff of the John Adams Health Care for their care and compassion given to Nancy.

Visiting hours will be held in the Deware Funeral Home 576 Hancock Street QUINCY, on Monday April 6th, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Relatives and friends invited. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made in Nancy’s memory to the Salvation Army 6 Baxter Street Quincy, MA 02169.
