Bob I went to the dog park today hoping to see you and was shocked to find out that you had passed away.  We were away for several months & this was the 1st chance I had to take my dog Gracie to the dog park.  You were the sweetest person and made everyone who met you feel welcomed.  I loved seeing you with Normy & Max and hearing you call for Gracie everytime you saw her come into the park.  You will be and are sorely missed at the dog park. Bob each and every day at the dog park we all think of you and miss you!! But I believe that you are looking down on all of us, to guide and inspire us, just like you did when you were there at the picnic table.   May you rest in peace knowing how many people you have touched in a positive way. You were one of our friends, you are gone but not forgotten!!

We were very sorry to hear of Robert's passing.  He always had a smile on his face and a kind word to say!  I will miss hearing him singing and talking to Normie and Max!  Robert was a good neighbor and he will be missed.

Bob, It will not be quite the same going to the dog park and not seeing you there.  You will be missed by many humans and dogs alike.  You always thought of others and brought extra water for the dogs.  We know that your spirit will be watching over all the dogs at the park.  Miss you.

Bobby, thanks for believing in Logan when no one else did.  You made sure everyoen knew he was really a GOOD DOG!  Thanks for that and thanks also for being who you were, which was a kind, fun, compasionate man especially to the dogs.  So glad you got to meet our newest dog Rayn.  I will miss your laugh and big smile every day.  The park will not be the same without you.  I will root for the Red Sox's even thought I don't care about them but I will do it for you old friend.  God speed.

You were the bright spot for me at the dog park. I would look forward to seeing you, Normie and Max every week. I loved how you would always pretend that Normy wasn't there to trick me. I also loved how you would let me take Normy around the block at the dog park. The best part of the walk would be when we were rounding the corner to you. I would let Normy go, and you would call for him. His little legs would go as fast as he could to be with his Daddy. 

The dog park will not be the same without you for any of us. You are what made the dog park fun. It was a painful walk for me yesterday. Especially since I was looking forward to introducing you to my new dog, Cricket.

I am going to put $150 to sponsor a poodle through my rescue organization. I've already asked my southern volunteers to find a homeless poodle for me in one of the kill shelters. I will name him Normy-Robert if it's a boy, and Norma if it's a girl. 

I will miss you very much, my friend. Sleep in peace and take care of all the dogs who passed over the rainbow bridge. I'll see you there someday.

Robert, I am heartbroken. I will so miss being greeted by our Mayor at the park. With your big smile you always walked down or yelled to whoever was coming in the park.I will miss being told how wonderful my sons are and what a good job I did and I will miss watching you enjoying all the people and dogs that gave you joy and you gave it right back I love you Robert. And to Robert's family. I hope it brings you some comfort knowing how much Bob was loved, how much he'll be missed and how he will be lovingly remembered always at his park. Bob, my friend, we met just about daily for nearly two years at the dog park. You were the first person I spoke to at the start of each day for a long time.  I can still see you running towards us - yelling "Jaxon is here"!  Stodders Neck will never be the same. I'll miss our lengthy discussions, walks and trips to the gym.  You were genuine, caring and a passionate animal lover. You have impacted my life tremendously, thank you for that. My heart is sunken.  We will miss you! Rest in Peace my good friend. Four years ago I walked into Stodders Neck Park with two small dogs. One which was laid back and calm. The other, wild and crazy. Not knowing what to expect as I was a first time dog owner. Needless to say, the wild and crazy one chased and barked at everything that moved. Because of that, I couldn't go near other dogs or talk to anyone. I felt so bad. Neither I, nor my dogs, could socialize. One day while I was sitting on the bench at the top of the hill, (which became a daily ritual for me)this man with a small white toy poodle and a gray mini schnauzer walked up the hill and sat with me. He introduced himself and began to tell me of how terrible his friend's schnauzer's behavior was when he was a puppy and how they almost got rid of him. He reassured me that my dog's behavior would get better with age and how he was really a good dog. He accepted us the way we were. He made me feel that we belonged there and not to worry so much. From that day on, my life would be forever changed. We became friends. All six of us.                                        As I sit her and write this, I think of all the wonderful and fun times I had with Bob down the park. Anyone who knew Bob, knew that it would always be an adventure if he was there. You would look forward to seeing him on his favorite bench, greeting you and your dog, and telling you the events of the park for the day thus far. It was always a guarantee that Bob had a smile and a story. He was a unique and wonderful human being. For those of us who knew him, it was an honor and a  privilege to have had him in our lives.                                  I  miss him terribly. He was my friend and I loved him. I hope as he looks down upon all of us, he knows how many lives he has touched, and how much he was truly loved.

Bob, everyone at the dog park misses you.  I love how you embraced my rottie. You made everyone know that Carmen, the rottie, was gentle and sweet. I thank you for being so kind. Thank you for making my lunch hours enjoyable. Rest in peace.

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. 

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. 
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. 
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable. 

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. 
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind. 

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster. 

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart. 

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

Robert, you will be sorely missed at the dog park.  I could always count on seeing you and Normy up by the picnic table and telling everyone you met that my little cali was the "toughest dog in the park" even though she is only a 7 lb chihuaha.   Rest in peace my friend.

Robert, We will surely miss your smiling face and your good nature. Always a laugh, always a smile, you had the ability to make people feel comfortable in your presence. What a good friend and great company. So until we meet again, we will  have our comforting thoughts of you and your fun loving ways. You will be sadly missed and forever remembered. The park will not feel the same without  "the mayor."

I had the pleasure of being introduced to Bob last year. He was a kind man who always had a warm and friendly hello for my wife, kids and my dog Coco.

Everybody who went to Stodder's knew who Bob was and he will be sorely missed. He was a staple to the park and it will be very strange going to the park and not seeing him sitting on the bench with his water bottles, his dog park hat and of course his dogs Normi and Max.

You were simply a nice man who looked for the good in people you'd meet and believed they would do the same .
You were happy and optimistic and were pleased by the simple things in life and that included the many dogs who knew you as well as their owners.
You will be missed and remembered at the dog park and there will be a void there as you kept us all up on the events of the park and entertained us in doing so.
So good bye for now, my friend and thanks for the lessons on not needing much to be happy in life.

Bob, I had the pleasure of meeting you when I started going to the dog park and meeting you, Max and Normie.  You told me about you being the mayor and had your hat on that you wore with pride.  You said to me that all the dogs going to the park we're very special and if we had any problems we'd all work it out together as a group.  You always had water and good wishes for all of us.  My puppy is named Dakota and has enjoyed everytime we've been there and now that he is 16 months old he and I will miss you sitting at the picnic table watching us all walk in and seeing your beautiful smile......Winona Sgambato

Bob was a wonderful member of the Stodders Neck Dog Park community. So much so, that he was called 'The Mayor.' He and his canine companions, Normie and Max, would always be there with a smile and friendly greeting. He truly cared about all of the dogs and they loved him.
