Sheryl Lee Murphy (Dobbie) of Quincy passed on July 9, after a courageous battle with cancer at 64 years old. She was the devoted daughter of Ruth Dobbie and the late John Dobbie. Beloved wife of the late Douglas W. Murphy; adored mother of Heather MacWhinnie and her husband David MacWhinnie, Douglas Murphy Jr., Victoria Murphy, and Renee Murphy. Loving grandmother of Matthew and Cody. The foundation of her life was family; her grandchildren were the cornerstone of all that was truly important to her. A funeral will be held at the Deware Funeral Home, 576 Hancock St., in Quincy, on Friday July 15 at 11:00 AM. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday from 4:00:00 – 8:00 PM Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Burial will be at Pine Hills Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
