

Shui Wan “Wendy” Lau passed away peacefully in her home on May 17, 2026 at the age of 71. Having been born in Guangzhou, China, she immigrated to the US in her early 20s and was a long-time resident of Framingham, Massachusetts. Cherished wife of Fong Ming “Dennis” Lau. Fiercely-loving mother of Connie Lau and her husband Michael Stevens, Gina Lau and her partner Emil Gallardo, Kevin Lau and his wife Annette Lau. Ever-present grandmother of Hudson Stevens, Tristan Lau, and Kayden Lau.
Wendy’s strength and warmth were the foundation of her family. She was a true pillar and steady rock to all who loved her, including her 7 siblings and large extended family. Those who knew her have witnessed her commanding and unshakeable strength and she had a remarkable ability to brighten every room she entered, bringing endless joy, comfort, and laughter to everyone who knew her. Her silly humour, passion for photographing family memories, and zest for a good party will live on through her children and grandchildren. Her love, kindness, and spirit will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
A Funeral Service will be held at Deware Funeral Home, 576 Hancock Street, Quincy, MA 02170 on May 26, 2026, from 8:30 am to 12:00 pm, then followed by a Committal Service at Forest Hills Cemetery, 95 Forest Hills Ave, Boston, MA 02130 from 12:45 pm to 1:15 pm.
