She was preceded in death by her father, Harold Chason.
Cathy was a member of Ephesus Baptist Church. She loved flowers and enjoyed working at Home Depot in the garden center. She found pleasure in listening to music, traveling, and living life to its fullest extent.
She is survived by her mother, Myrtle Chason; her sister, Wanda Chason; her brother, Harold Chason; and her nephew, Shawn Chason.
A visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, October 7, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Crumpler Funeral Home, 131 Harris Avenue, Raeford, NC 28376. A service will immediately follow with Pastor Wayne Sanderson officiating.
Burial will take place at the Chason Family Cemetery in Lumber Bridge, NC 28357.
Services are entrusted to Crumpler Funeral Home.
