Christopher Scott Chris Askew

Mr. Christopher "Chris" Scott Askew of Raleigh passed away Monday July 3, 2017 at his home at the age of 56. Chris was born in Sampson County on July 14, 1960. He was preceded in death by his mother Patricia Ann Hatcher Askew. He served in the U.S. Army 82nd Airborne Division. He graduated from NC State University and received a bachelors degree. He retired from the Wake County Health Department. He was a loving and caring father, son , brother, and grandfather. Chris is survived by 3 daughters, Katie L. Hubbard and her husband Brian of Fayetteville, Christina A. Anderson and her husband Matthew of Wasilla, AK, Sarah E. Askew of Fayetteville, his dear friend Ariana Sifuentes, his father Malcolm H. Askew, Sr. of Fayetteville, a brother Malcolm "M.H." Askew, Jr. of Fayetteville, and 5 grandchildren, Madelyn, William, Lucas, Benjamin, and Olivia. A visitation will be held 2-3 pm Friday, July 7, 2017 at Crumpler Funeral Home 131 Harris Ave. Raeford, NC. A funeral service will follow at 3pm in Crumpler Funeral Home Chapel.
