

Dan Mitchell Nobles, 84, of Red Springs died, Monday, October 20, 2014 at Scotland Memorial Hospital. Mitchell was born on April 3, 1930, to the late Corbett Nobles and Retha Nobles Bridgeman. He was married for 63 years to Thelma Hickman Nobles until her death in 2011. He is survived by a daughter, Mickey Gregory and husband Rickey of Lumberton; a son, Steve Nobles and wife Kathy of Red Springs; two granddaughters, Kelli Willoughby and husband Rex of Chapel Hill, Robin OBrien and husband Jarad of Clayton; two grandsons, David Nobles and wife Becky of Fuquay, Erick Gregory of Ocean Isle Beach; four great grandchildren, Ty , Leah and Reese Willoughby and Mitchell Lee Gregory; one sister, Faye Callahan of Fayetteville and a special cousin who was more of a brother, Edward Norris and wife Kay Norris of Red Springs. Funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at First Baptist Church in Red Springs, with the Reverend Bradley Boberg officiating. Burial will be in the Alloway Cemetery. Family will receive friends at graveside. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to First Baptist Church, 701 East 4th Ave., Red Springs 28377 and designated for the roof building fund.
