Daniel Cummings

Mr. Daniel Cummings, 79, of 3860 Old Lowery Road, Red Springs, North Carolina was born on January 16, 1934 to the late Richard and Luler Jane Jacobs Cummings. Brother Daniel departed this earthly life for his eternal life with God on Sunday, October 20, 2013. Brother Daniel was one of the founding fathers of Welcome Holiness Church where he remained a faithful member until his death. Mr. Daniel leaves to cherish his memories his wife of 57 years, Mrs. Sallie Locklear Cummings of the home, one son, Daniel Cummings, Jr., four grandchildren, Daniel Allen, Daniel Wells, Daniel Richard and Tasha, all of Red Springs, NC; 7 great grandchildren, three sisters, Ms. Dovie "Betty" Dowell of Riverside, MD, Mrs. Shirlean (Ray) Mowery of Pleasant Garden, NC, and Mrs. Martha Oxendine of Shannon, NC, several nieces and nephews, a host of relatives and friends. Mr. Daniel was also preceded in death by one sister Lee Ilan C. Huggins, three brothers, Bridy Cummings, Corvey Cummings and David Cummings. Visitation will be 7pm-9pm Thursday, October 24, 2013 at Crumpler Funeral Home-Red Springs. Funeral Service will be 1pm, Friday, October 25, 2013 at the Welcome Holiness Church, 1753 McGoogan Farm Road, Shannon, NC 28386, with Reverend Roy Clark, Reverend Jerry Chavis, and Reverend Rocky Williamson officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
