Darian Ivan Gueta Macias

It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Darian Ivan Gueta Macias, affectionately known by his family and friends as “Cringe” and “Enano.” Darian passed away unexpectedly on October 8, 2025, at the age of 23.

Born to Jorge and Bertha Esmeralda Gueta, Darian was a bright, loving, and determined young man who brought joy and laughter to everyone who knew him. He recently graduated from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke, earning his bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, and had just begun a new chapter of his life in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Darian will be lovingly remembered by his parents, Jorge and Bertha, his sister, Bertha Genova Gueta, his brother, George Gueta, and extended family. His memory will continue to live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know his kind spirit and infectious energy.

Darian had a gift for making people laugh. He was quick with a joke, never missed a chance to roast someone (always out of love), and could turn any moment into something memorable. Music was another part of his joy; even though he wasn’t an expert, he loved experimenting with different instruments and was always the life of the party when karaoke came around.

When he wasn’t cracking jokes or singing his heart out, Darian could often be found gaming with friends. He took pride in reaching Grandmaster rank in Marvel Rivals. Beyond gaming, Darian had a deep appreciation for creative, hands-on hobbies. He loved building Gundam models, assembling intricate LEGO sets, soldering random gadgets together, and tackling challenging puzzles.

A visitation will be held on October 14, 2025, at 1304 Old Maxton Rd, Raeford, NC 28376, beginning at 9:00 a.m. and continuing throughout the night. A Mass in his honor will take place on October 15, 2025, at 1:30 PM at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church, 6199 Fayetteville Rd, Raeford NC, 28376, followed

by burial at the Raeford City Cemetery.

Though his time with us was far too short, Darian’s light, love, and laughter will never be forgotten.

Con profundo dolor y gran tristeza anunciamos el fallecimiento de Darian Ivan Gueta Macias, cariñosamente conocido por su familia y amigos como “Cringe” y “Enano.” Darian falleció inesperadamente el 8 de octubre de 2025, a la edad de 23 años.

Nacido de Jorge y Bertha Esmeralda Gueta, Darian fue un joven brillante, amoroso y decidido, que llenó de alegría y risas a todos los que tuvieron el privilegio de conocerlo. Recientemente se había graduado de la Universidad de Carolina del Norte en Pembroke, obteniendo su título de licenciatura en Ciencias de la Computación, y acababa de comenzar una nueva etapa de su vida en Charlotte, Carolina del Norte.

Darian será recordado con amor por sus padres, Jorge y Bertha, su hermana Bertha Genova Gueta, su hermano George Gueta, y toda su familia extendida. Su memoria vivirá para siempre en los corazones de su familia, sus amigos y de todos aquellos que tuvieron la fortuna de conocer su espíritu bondadoso y su energía contagiosa.

Darian tenía un don especial para hacer reír a los demás. Siempre tenía un chiste a la mano, nunca perdía la oportunidad de bromear con alguien (siempre con cariño), y podía convertir cualquier momento en algo inolvidable. La música también era parte de su alegría; aunque no era un experto, disfrutaba experimentar con diferentes instrumentos y siempre era el alma de la fiesta cuando llegaba el momento del karaoke.

Cuando no estaba contando chistes o cantando con pasión, era común encontrarlo jugando videojuegos con sus amigos. Se sentía orgulloso de haber alcanzado el rango Gran Maestro en Marvel Rivals. Más allá del mundo de los videojuegos, Darian tenía una gran afición por los pasatiempos creativos y manuales: le encantaba armar modelos de Gundam, construir intrincados sets de LEGO, soldar todo tipo de aparatos y resolver rompecabezas desafiantes

El velorio se llevará a cabo el 14 de octubre de 2025, en 1304 Old Maxton Rd, Raeford, NC 28376, comenzando a las 9:00 a.m. y continuando durante toda la noche. La Misa en su honor se celebrará el 15 de octubre de 2025, a la 1:30 p.m., seguida del entierro en el cementerio de la ciudad de Raeford.

Aunque su tiempo con nosotros fue demasiado corto, la luz, el amor y las risas de Darian nunca serán olvidados.
