Edna Whitehead Donevan

Mrs. Edna Whitehead Donevan of 3532 Dunn Road, Eastover, died Sunday, February 19, 2012 at Bethesda Health Care Facility in Eastover at the age of 81. Mrs. Donevan was born in Norfolk, VA on June 25, 1930, to the late George and Hilda Whitehead. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald C. Donevan, Her daughter Sylvia Scott and her granddaughter Shelia VonCannon. She was a member of LaFayette Baptist Church in Fayetteville. Mrs. Donevan retired after 31 years with the Civil Services in the Pay Inquires Department in Ft. Bragg. She is survived by two sons, Ronnie Donevan of Dunn, NC; Stephen Donevan of Fayetteville, NC; two daughters, Sharon Hutchinson and her husband M.D. of Fayetteville, NC, Susan Tarbell and her husband Mike of Richmondville, NY; one brother Willis Whitehead and his wife Diane of Silver City, NC; two sisters, Marcella W. Grantham of Red Springs, Barbara W. Neblett of Richmond, VA.; nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren Visitation will be held from 2:00 until 3:00 pm on Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at LaFayette Baptist Church, 501 Hope Mills Road, Fayetteville, directed by Crumpler Funeral Home in Red Springs. Memorial services will be held 3:00 pm, Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at LaFayette Baptist Church with Reverend Dr. Brian Lee officiating.
