Mrs. Loretta Parker of 214 Pittman Grove Church Road, died Wednesday, February 29, 2012 in Carrol S. Roberson Hospice Center in Fayetteville at the age of 80. Mrs. Parker was born on August 19, 1931 to the late James Council Elkins and Eula Fields Elkins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lacy O. Parker, a daughter, Gloria Jean Boahn and a son, Mitchell Parker. Survivors include two sons, Melvin Parker and Donald Wayne Parker, both of Raeford; a brother, Liston Elkins and wife Betty of Lumber Bridge; a sister, Faye E. Ward and husband Richard of Greensboro; two grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. A Graveside Service will be 2:00 PM, Thursday, March 1, 2012 at Alloway Cemetery in Red Springs with Reverend James D. Wilhide officiating.
