Eva Bell Holmes Cummings

Mrs. Eva Bell Cummings of TC Jones Road, died Saturday, September 17, 2011 at Cape Fear Valley Hospital in Fayetteville at the age of 84. Mrs. Cummings was born in Robeson County on March 14, 1927 to the late Curney Holmes and Mary Locklear Holmes. She was preceded in death by her husband, Luke Cummings, and her son Arnold Cummings. She was a member of the Rock Grove Baptist Church in Raeford. Survivors include three daughters, Mary Ann Bunnells and husband Jimmy, Ruth Alice Scott and husband Jimmy, Martha Gonzales (Ray Jernigan); four sons, Sam Cummings and his wife Rita, Mark Cummings, David Cummings, Walter Cummings (Sherry Sanders) all of Raeford; two brothers Charles Holmes of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Ralph Holmes of Baltimore, Maryland; daughter-in-law, Ann Cummings of Raeford; 14 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren. The family will receive relatives and friends between the hours of 6:00 and 8:00 PM, Monday, September 19, 2011 at Crumpler Funeral Home, 131 Harris Avenue, Raeford, NC 28376, and at other times at the home of Mary Ann Bunnells located at 116 Welsh Road, Raeford, NC 28376. Funeral Services will be 3:00 PM Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at Crumpler Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Rock Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Raeford, N.C.
