Grace Miller Pate Elliott

DATE: Raeford Mrs. Grace P. Miller Elliott of 107 Lamont St, died Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at First Health Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst at the age of 91. Mrs. Elliott was born in Hoke County on March 28, 1920, to the late William Nelson Pate and Flora Ann Patterson Pate. She was preceded in death by her husbands, W. E. Miller and Retired Sgt. John Elliott; two sons, Bill Miller and Odell Miller. She retired from Proctor Silex in Southern Pines and a member of Westside Baptist Church in Red Springs. She is survived by three daughters, Flora M. Scarboro and husband Martin of Raeford, Louise M. Creech of Red Springs, Carolyn M. Hinds and husband Joe of Jacksonville, Florida; one brother Fred Pate of Carthage, two sisters, Elevin Wilson of Carthage, Margaret Wilson of Pinehurst; daughter-in-law, Pat Miller of Lumber Bridge, eighteen grandchildren, twenty-five great grandchildren and nine great, great grandchildren. Visitation will be Friday, October 7, 2011 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at Crumpler Funeral Home, 131 Harris Avenue, Raeford, NC. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, October 8, 2011 at Crumpler Funeral Home Chapel, 131 Harris Avenue, Raeford, NC with Pastor Randy Locklear officiating. Burial will be at the Raeford City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
