He is honored and remembered for his faithful service to his country and the sacrifice he made in defense of freedom.
He is survived by his wife, Josefa Jones; his son, Gregory; his daughter, Slania; several grandchildren; and his sister, Patricia Jones. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mattie Mae Jones and Patrick Henry Jones.
A Mass will be held on Friday, June 12, 2026, at 8:00 AM at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church, 6199 Fayetteville Road, Raeford, NC. A procession will follow at 9:00 AM from the church to Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery for a 10:00 AM burial.
Following the burial, family and friends are invited to return to the church for a luncheon celebrating Gregory’s life from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
