Hazel Mae Henderson Woriax

Mrs. Hazel H. Woriax of 402 N. Parker Church Rd. departed this life, Saturday, April 9, 2011 at the age of 67 in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. Mrs. Woriax was born in Hoke County on July 26,1943 to the late David and Otellar Jones Henderson. She was a devoted loving wife, mother, sister and friend. She was also a faithful member of Mt. Elim Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for 25 years. Mrs. Woriax was a faithful Hoke County employee for the past 25 years. She is preceded in death by her husband, Foster Waylon Woriax and a daughter, Anna Marie Woriax. Survivors include two daughters: Brenda J. Woriax and Nicole Woriax, both of Raeford; two brothers, Rev. Ivory Henderson (Christine) of Red Springs, and Rev. Donnie Henderson (Ann) of Edenton; six sisters, Joan Hunt of Red Springs, Rachel Locklear (Ellis) of Raeford, Barbara Henderson of Red Springs, Gensie Henderson of Aberdeen, Mattiebell Scott (Marvin) of Red Springs, and Betty Sue Hunt (Bobby) of Red Springs. Visitation will be held 7:00 until 9:00 pm Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at Mt Elim Baptist Church, 921 Wilson Rd, Red Springs, NC 28377 and at other time at the familys home, 402 N. Parker Church Rd. Raeford. Funeral Services will be 3:00 PM Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at Mt. Elim Baptist Church with Revs Tony Brewington, David Hunt and Timothy Locklear officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Elim Baptist Church Cemetery.
