Sgt. 1st Class James Allen Carroll of Wagram , died Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at the age of 50. James was born July 17, 1964 in Portland OR. James was a hardworking, devoted husband, father and grandfather. He loved his grandkids with a passion. He was one proud grandpa. James loved the outdoors. His birds and bees was a hobby he enjoyed. James served over 20 years in the US Army as Sgt. 1st Class. He served a tour in Dessert Storm and two tours in Iraq. James is survived by his wife Janice C. Carroll of Wagram, NC; 2 sons Kendrick Clark of Red Springs, Brandon Small, his daughter Ashley Small of Maxton, a brother John Conley (Kim) of CA, 2 sisters Jodi Moran and Janet Ballesteros,4grandchildren Destiny Cureton, Ladymun Cureton, Jareal Cureton and Aaliyah Small. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Crumpler Funeral Home of Red Springs.
