James Rodney Lee

He was born on November 24, 1960 to the late Sammy and Lois Lee.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his great nephew, Jett Myles Wade.

James served 28 years in fire services, including the City of Raeford Fire Department and Hillcrest Fire Department. He was a truck driver for many years and traveled all over the United States. He loved sports from childhood. He played baseball, wrestling, and football; coached little league baseball, and had a collection of sports memorabilia. James enjoyed the beach and riding his Harley motorcycle.

He is survived by his three sisters, Barbara Buddin, Belinda Dudek (Randall Scheitler), Lorie Sanhueza (Luis); his brother, Mark Smith (Christina); his uncle, Howard Barkley; five nieces and nephews; nine great nieces and nephews; and several great great nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank DaVita Dialysis Care Of Hoke County for their exceptional care of James.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Diabetes Association.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2026 from 1:00 p.m to 2:00 p.m at Crumpler Funeral Home 131 Harris Avenue Raeford, NC 28376.

A service will follow at 2:00 p.m.
