

Dr. Jean Stephens Daniels, formerly of Raeford died Monday, February 11, 2013 in Duke University Medical Center at the age of 61. Dr. Daniels was born in Cumberland County on January 10, 1952 to the late James D. Stephens and Imogene Baucom Stephens. She was a member of Manna Church in Fayetteville, the Sandhill Emmaus Walk, and the North Carolina Association of Educators. Dr. Daniels was the author of the book "The Light of Life and Laura". She earned her Bachelor Degree from Western Carolina University, her Masters Degree from UNC Charlotte, and her Doctorate from Nova Southeastern University. Survivors are her husband, Jimmy L. Daniels, formerly of Bennetsville, S.C., now of White Lake; her sons, Joel Daniel of Fayetteville, Justin Daniel and his wife, Tatiana of Fayetteville, N.C.; daughter, Laura D. Lawyer and her husband, Mike of Fayetteville; her sister, Jan Stephens of Raeford; close friend and cousin, Julia Augustoni of Kernersville formerly of Raeford, two aunts, Sarah Baucom of Pinehurst, Yvonne B. McMillan of Red Springs; two grandchildren, Caitlyn Marie Daniel, Jared Michael Daniel. Visitation will be 7:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at Crumpler Funeral Home, 131 Harris Ave, Raeford, NC. Funeral Service will be 1:00 P.M. Thursday, February 14, 2013 at Crumpler Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Leon Hawks officiating. Burial will be in the Raeford Cemetery.
